Situation
An Agricultural company had a vast network of external manufacturers and suppliers that collaborated with them in the manufacturing and supply chain network. Current processes and tools to capture and analyze the 3rd party -external data were manual, inconsistent, and error-prone leading to inefficient and delayed insights. Bespoke and non-unified data formats from several vendors increased the implementation cost significantly. There was a lot of data like temperatures, dates, lot yields, and supplier contracts embedded in PDF & documents with no easy way to search and analyze with manual processes
Solution
- Define the data sourcing and consumption strategy
- Establish a reference architecture and all related technologies to automate the entire (sourcing, processing, and consumption) data pipeline
- Leverage our doc Reader framework to design and develop a custom Text extraction and mining solution in creating a structured repository for easy search
- Designed and developed an integrated analytics model unifying the data (structured & unstructured) from different vendors with a manifest / metadata driven approach
- Design a process, template, and related solution to standardize the data sourcing & processing regardless of the vendor data format
